'Although cautioned by a friend that Tasmania represented an intolerable amount of travel for an infinitesimal amount of trout, Senior nevertheless made the journey.  In so doing he produced Australia's first book devoted primarily to angling ... Written in the anecdotal style of the day, it presents a unique account of angling in Australia as it was practised in the latter half of the nineteenth century' (Dunn).  Previous owners name and blind stamp on Fep. Very Good
