Le Mesurier of Guernsey, ("under the eye of the author").    Blue cloth cover with gilt motif and titles. "Comprising the chief methods of hook and line fishing in the British and other seas, and remarks on nets, boats and boating.  Profusely illustrated with woodcuts of leads, baited hooks ,knots, nets, boats etc, and detailed descriotions of the same".  Claimed by author to be the first book exclusively devoted to the subject.  ‘The first exhaustive and imminently practical work on sea-fishing’ (Paske & Aflalo) Edges of cover slightly rubbed   Spine has some wear and is darker than cover.   sl foxing  -Very Good
