A nice historical review of the evolution of the fly reel. With sections on both American and British reels, ie. Vom Hofe, Zwarg, Meisselbach, Pflueger, Leonard, Hardy, et al. Profusely illustrated with examples of many reels depicted. Although not stated and according to the publisher, only 500 copies of the hardcover edition were printed and thus, hard-to-find. A very good reference for collectable American fly reels -Very Good
